.Net Software Developer

Job Description

PCR Educator is currently seeking a Junior .Net Developer to help create and implement features and functionality on .Net projects and web applications.  PCR Educator is a software development company that develops web applications for educational institutions. The software includes such functions as scheduling, content management, accounting, fundraising, database management.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Hands-on coding
• Collaborating and interfacing with team members to help implement solutions within an Agile/Scrum framework
• Implementing Agile best practices, such as TDD, CI, Automation Deployments, Unit Testing best practices, Test Automation, Pair Programming, etc.
• Collaborating on Release deployments/instructions and assist in troubleshooting 

Required Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelors degree in Math, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a minimum 3.2 GPA
• School/Project experience in designing and implementing web and/or mobile applications
• Knowledge of Agile Application Development & Scrum methodologies 

Moderate proficiency or project experience in the following technologies: 

• C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, ADO.Net
• UI Development on Microsoft platform: Windows Forms, ASP.NET
• Database: Any Relational SQL Database (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc)
• Web Services and/or APIs
• HTML, DOM, XML, Javascript, CSS, JQuery, Ajax 

Nice-to-have experience in one or more of the following: 

• CSS
• IIS
• Visual Studio
• Telerik 

Additional Skills: 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communications skills. Must be able to communicate effectively electronically. 
• Self starter• Passion in programming and learning
