To access PCR Educator's OpenAI features, sign up for an OpenAI API account and provide PCR Educator support with the API key associated with the account. This enables PCR Educator to integrate with the OpenAI infrastructure.

OpenAI features are entirely optional. Schools that choose not to utilize them will see no impact on existing workflows or usage of PCR Educator.

To enable OpenAI features, follow these steps:

- Sign up for an OpenAI API account at https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys
- Navigate to the Billing section and set up a paid account.
- Navigate to the Usage section and set the desired usage limit. This limit determines the maximum usage before the account is temporarily suspended until the next billing cycle.
- Upon successful registration, an API key will be provided. Share this key with PCR Educator by replying to a support ticket or emailing support@pcreducator.com.
- Once the API key is received, the PCR Educator technical team will assist with integrating OpenAI into PCR Educator.

Limitations

Reliance on third-party AI model: PCR Educator features that utilize the OpenAI API rely on a third-party artificial intelligence model. While the model is trained on a large dataset and designed to provide accurate responses, it may not always be error-free. There may be instances where generated responses are not entirely accurate or do not meet specific requirements.

Uncertainty and evolving nature of AI technology: AI technology, including the OpenAI API, is constantly evolving. The accuracy, performance, and capabilities of the AI model utilized by PCR Educator features may change over time. PCR Educator makes efforts to keep current with advancements in the field but cannot guarantee continuous perfection or immediate adaptation to new scenarios.

Contextual and ethical considerations: The OpenAI API relies on provided prompts to generate responses. The accuracy and appropriateness of generated responses depend on the quality and specificity of the prompts. Clear and concise prompts should be provided, taking into account legal, ethical, and contextual considerations relevant to the use case. Responsibility for the legality and ethical compliance of generated content rests with the user.

User data privacy and security: When utilizing the OpenAI API, certain data such as prompts and responses may be processed or stored by OpenAI. Review OpenAI's data privacy and security policies to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.

Continuous improvements and updates: PCR Educator is committed to enhancing its services and incorporating customer feedback. This may involve changes to features that utilize the OpenAI API, including improvements, updates, or removal of certain functionalities. PCR Educator will communicate any significant changes that may impact usage.
