Use this method when a substitute staff member will replace the current staff member for a short period, such as during an illness.

     - Navigate to Scheduling > Course Sections.
     - Open the Details of the section where the substitute will be assigned.
     - Add the substitute staff as an Alternate Staff.

Note: The substitute can take attendance, enter grades, and enter progress reports and report card grades and comments. The substitute cannot create a new Gradebook Category.
Note: Some report cards and progress reports may display the alternate staff’s name, depending on your school’s configuration.
Note: Once the primary staff person returns, you can remove the substitute as the alternate staff.
